Famous places in Google Earth
 
Google Earth is a free program that makes possible to visit all the planet with our computer. We can navigate and travel from a place to another and get closer at any point of the earth until getting to perceive impressive details.

We will be able to see houses, the color of cars, and even the shadows of people and street signs and the degree of resolution may be different from place to place.

All this happens thanks to the superimposition of images obtained from satellites which are combined with maps. If you still don't have this potent tool, it can be downloaded from here.

We should say that some areas of the globe are not totally covered, but the more important cities and places have good resolution.

is the most covered country nowadays and In the future the photographic database will be enlarge so that the whole planet will be seen in great definition.

Eiffel Tower

IIncredible sight of the Eiffel Tower in the city of Paris, which was designed by the french architect Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition of 1889.

At first this structure made of steel generated a lot of controversy because it notably modied the parisian scenery. Nowadays it is the symbol of France and the city of Paris.
It has 300 meters high and in the tower there is a restaurant, a museum and many nshops. His weight is calculated in 10.000 tons.

Statue of Liberty

It is one of the most widely used symbols of the american culture and the United States. It is a gift that the people of France gave to the city of New York in 1886 ( 100 years after the North American independence).

It was built in Paris and designed by Gustave Eiffel. Iit was dismantled and transported in ships to the Liberty island,in the Hudsonriver, New York. It´s approximately 46 meters high and his weight is calculated in 225 tons.

Taj Mahal

Surprising sight from the sky of this beautiful building built in the Indian city of Agra, on the banks of the river Yamuna. The construction started in 1654 and it was created in honor to the favorite wife of the Moslem emperor ShahJahan of the mongolian dynasty, who died after she gave birth to her 14 th. son.

This great building convines elements of the Indian, Persian and Islamic culture. It is said that approximately 20.000 workers were employed to create this fabulous place.

Venice (San Marco)
